Gerd-Jan Poortman is one of the most established professional sailors in the Netherlands. For 33 years, of which the last 17 years at the highest professional level in the world.

Gerd-Jan is involved in competitive sailing, of which the last 17 years have been at the highest professional level in the world. Gerd-Jan has won 3 world championships and sailed around the world 3 times in the Volvo Ocean race. He also held the world 24 hour speed record on a sailboat for 3 years!
