Willem Groendijk – Global Catalyst Safety, Shell

Willem Groendijk is the Global Catalyst Safety Assessment lead, based in Shell Projects & Technology. He leads the CSA team and is responsible for activities such as ensuring good quality CSAs, enhancing CSA tools and sharing learnings, both in Shell and externally. After receiving his M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering from Delft, University of Technology, the Netherlands in 2006, he joined Shell. Willem has a background in downstream technology support for chemicals and refining, having worked both at the Pernis refinery and chemicals complex, and at Shell Projects & Technology.
