Elise Roovers is a Product Manager at CGE who likes to focus attention on the client and its organizational context. As a social and organizational psychologist, she is expert in understanding what working with people entails and how cultural aspects within an organization can either promote or restrict certain (cyclical) processes. On a micro level this is expressed in her way of providing software trainings to (potential) users, on a macro level it is expressed in providing consultation on what software solutions best to fit within organizations. She tries to question and sense an organizations’ specific needs and adjusts her advice to their risk management maturity level, rather than to “hard sell” a product that doesn’t match the clients’ abilities and implicit wishes.
When performing research and development in improving CGE’s products, she has one main ambition: risk management software should support the client instead of frustrating them. This means that all software solutions should be easy to use and resulting products should be easy to interpret. Her main message in working with risk management software is to be and remain in control of the risk management process. This means that risk management doesn’t stop with making a plan and putting it back on a shelf; it is a live process that needs continuous attention and nurturing.
